GOOGLE CORE UPDATE [MARCH 2024]: Are you losing website Traffic?

Table of Contents

The latest Google Core Update has punished you. We feel you. Many sites were being removed by Google from its search results following the March 2024 update as a result of manual penalties.

[GOOGLE CORE UPDATE 2024]: After Penguin and BERT comes the hurricane

It is now clear that the Google penalty is taking effect.

The number of visitors to blogs and business websites is falling steeply.

Even websites without AI-generated content are starting losing traffic.

WORSE: These websites are still suffering traffic decline despite being written by individual contributors.

March 2024 update didn’t have any manual penalties. But this time around, the blame for reduced traffic is on the doorsteps of March 2024 update by Google.

MTL+ECOMMERCE editorial Team held talks with SEO managers and marketing executives from the community concerning this concern and how to rescue these websites from further losses in traffic.

The March 2024 Core update has actionable points. However, just keep in mindt he latest update from Google may take a month to be fully

implemented, as per their announcement.

That’s why it’s important not to rush into any decisions until the FULL update is ready to  roll out.

If you’re wondering why your website has been penalized.

If your  content is good on your  website, then yes, you did not do anything wrong.

“Just WAIT ! You don’t need to rush into making any changes. Within a month, your website’s traffic can come back and will increase.”

Tim Ellerington, Director of SEO – Aritzia

Why is your website Traffic Going down?

Some marketers don’t even realize that there’s an issue until they’ve used a checker tool.  There are a few reasons why website traffic is going down:

  1. Spammy backlinks.
  2. Poor user experience.
  3. expired domain.
  4. Poor niche.
  5. Obsolete or repeated content : AI or manual

First: backlinks.

Google Spam Brain is catching  backlink spam. when it sees a bad backlink, It doesn’t only penalize the person who provided the link.

But it also punishes the one who received the backlink.

The purpose of that penalty is not to help you improve your website’s ranking.

Not to teach you SEO.

Not to improve the content of your website.

Penalty means punishment.

Think of Google like a  parent:

It had updated policies

It has made announcements.

It has warned you many times

AND…

 You didn’t read the announcements.

 Shhh…Just admit it.^^

“You didn’t know. You did not adapt to the policies changes. Wel,GOOGLE DOESN’T CARE. Correcting the mistake won’t change anything”

Chris Reynolds SEO Director at IndeedChris explains that website traffic will be lost and will NOT  be  back immediately. It’s a PUNISHMENT!

However, There is a solution.

Website Traffic will increase again with consistent effort over time.
